Noah
Noah means "rest, repose". He is the son of Lamech and he lived from 1056 FC to 2006 FC (2912 BC – 1962 BC | 950 yrs). Lamech is 182 yrs old when Noah was born. According to Genesis 5:29, Noah "shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed". It was on his lifetime that The Flood happened. Genesis 6:8-9 states that Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord, he was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
Noah is the father of Shem, Ham and Japheth, and by them were the nations divided after the flood (Genesis 10:32).
Noah's time was also used to compare the second coming of Christ (Luke 17:26-27) and how God will not spare the ungodly (2 Peter 2:5-6).
